Best buy advice...

Postby Orchestra » Fri Mar 05, 2010 6:16 pm

So the guy at best buy told me i couldn't upgrade Win 32 bit xp to Windows 7 64 bit unless i got Windows vista first.

....

...

He was very cock sure of his opinion on the matter.

...

...

I was going to purchase another hard drive from which to install this on, and he then told me i wouldn't be able to put win 7 on that drive unless it had win xp then vista then win 7 on it.

...

...

...

I've since decided to not go back to best buy or bother asking for advice...

The same hard drive is on new egg for half the price.

That should work.

You could also get a full copy of Win 7 and then you wouldn't have the same problem. Though that'll cost you a bit more.

It is dead easy .. the CD is exactly the same as the original and instead of inputting a Reg key you skip tht step and use the activator after install of OS then reboot and its done .. i get all my updates and stuff from microsoft and there is no difference to if you went an bought a CD and Key an did it tht way .. it works 100% fine
