I've updated the APOC L4D2 server with the Crazy Infected Mod. It works in Co-op, Realism and Vs mode. Here's what it does:
Boomer:
Vomit recharges much more quickly
Melee attacks do significantly more damage
The number of infected called after one is boomed is increased
Hunter:
The Hunter's Pounce charges in Half of a second
Hunter's Health has been decreased
The Hunter's Speed has been increased
The Hunter's damage while pouncing is significantly higher.
Smoker:
The Smoker's tongue can pull from 3x the normal distance
The tounge recharges in a fraction of the time, particularly after a miss
The damage to a trapped survivor is increased
The survivors are pulled 3x faster to the smoker
Spitter:
The spitter can spit much further
Spit travels at a much faster velocity
The spit recharges quickly to encourage an area denial tactic
The Spitter's Speed has been increased
Charger:
The Charger has less health
The Charger charges much faster and for longer
The Charge recharges much faster
Connecting with multiple survivors in an open area (outside) will launch the second survivor high enouch to insta kill with fall damage.
Jockey:
Moves significantly faster
Health is lower
Inflicts more damage while riding
Witch:
Has slightly less health
Moves much faster, regardless of damage being taken
Startles far easier (Wandering Witch inclusive)
Startles from further away
Can kill an incapped survivor in 3 hits without any assistance.
Flashlights startle the witch much faster (Keep them off )
Tank:
Inflicts more damage per punch/rock
The rock can be tossed much farther and with less recharge
Moves significantly faster even while being damaged
Punches send survivors flying further away
Has less health
Survivors:
Temporary Health does not decay
Adrenaline lasts longer and moves survivors faster
Health kits heal in 2 seconds
Survivors are revived with 80 health
Revives are accomplished in 2 seconds
This mod encourages teamwork, but does not ultimately screw over the survivors. A lone player is easily killed by any of the special infected, while players that stick together are rewarded with easier recovers from infected damage. As a side note, players are rewarded for skill as the infected more than before.
Previously, Chargers would aim for a single survivor because hitting more than one usually meant a swift death after the others recovered. Instead hitting multiple survivors will now possibly kill them instantly, rewarding players who can line up a charge.
The Hunter has been tweaked to be an effective killing machine. If the team fails to realize that a hunter has landed on their friends, they are most likely dead.
Boomers have been tweaked to allow for a more effective horde to spawn slowing the survivors and doing damage. Previously the horde that came for two survivors now comes from just booming a single one. Also, boomers who are able to successfully melee do significant damage to a survivor, mainly because the boomer is loud and a large target.
